Sanjeet Kumar built his foundation over close to a decade at Power Finance Corporation, India’s national infrastructure development finance institution, where he led appraisal of transactions exceeding $1 billion as Manager – Structured & Project Finance. That work sits on the lender’s side of the table: assessing bankability, structuring debt, and deciding which projects were ready to fund.
He now advises independently and serves as Technical Advisor for GIZ on energy, infrastructure and access to finance, working across Sub-Saharan Africa on transactions engaging development finance institutions including the EIB, AFD, KfW-IPEX, EBRD and AfDB. His advisory work spans renewable energy and battery storage, urban rail financing, and public-private partnerships across Europe, Africa and Asia.
